NHL Playoffs Betting Tips April 24th

2014 NHL PlayoffsLast night was great for me.  Both of my picks came back late in the third and ended up winning their games in overtime.  The Blue Jackets were actually down 3-0 in that game before storming back to even the series, while the Blackhawks were down late in the third for the first time in the series, but found a way to score and then Kane finished the Blues off in overtime to even that series as well.

2014 NHL Playoff Record: 9-6 for +1.63 units.

Boston Bruins @ Detroit Red Wings

The Bruins have only given up 2 goals to the Red Wings in 3 games so far this series.  With no Zetterberg returning to the lineup and the inexperienced Nyquist and Tatar having been held pointless so far I expect this series to continue going as it has been.  Boston will continue to play a hard defense first game that will result in Detroit not having many chances.  Boston hasn’t lit the light too many times in this series either, but they have more experienced guys that will be able to bounce back and provide some offense.  I expect Krejci and Marchand to get their first points of the series tonight in a winning effort.

Play: Bruins 1.77 (5Dimes)

San Jose Sharks @ LA Kings

The Sharks have really had their way with the Kings so far in this series.  Not only have they won every game, but they have deserved to win every game.  This will be another stiff test, but the Sharks seem like a team possessed right now and they are just finding ways to win.  They have come from behind in 2 games and they seem like they score with ease against this Kings team that gave up the least goals against in the regular season.  They have 17 goals for in the 3 games so far.  That’s a ridiculous 5.67 goals for per game against a team that averaged 2.12 goals against in the regular season.  I like the Sharks to keep rolling and be the second team to earn a first round sweep tonight.

Play: Sharks 1.99 (BetOnline)
