Tonight there are 9 games on tap in the NHL with some big games with huge playoff repercussions. Last night I went 1 for 2 to break even, so the season record now sits at (117-130) for -9.37 units.
Detroit Red Wings @ Columbus Blue Jackets
The Red Wings have slowed down quite a bit of late having lost their last 3 games. Tonight they travel to Columbus to take on the worst team in the league, but the Wings lost their last game in Columbus and with the streak they are on they could easily lose again tonight. Columbus still hasn’t been playing great, but they’ve been playing a bit better of late and their remaining players know they are playing for their NHL lives. At +185 I couldn’t pass on the Blue Jackets against a struggling Red Wings team that hasn’t been great on the road all season.

Montreal Canadiens @ Tampa Bay Lightning
The Habs bring their East worst record into Tampa Bay tonight to face the Lightning. The Habs are all but out of the playoff hunt, while the Lightning still have an outside shot if they can get a winning streak together. Tampa has a solid 18-9-2 record at home and they’ve won their last 3 games in their home building. Montreal has lost 4 straight and have only scored 4 goals in that span. They’ve won 1 of their last 7 (a shootout victory) and I am surprised that the Lightning aren’t bigger favourites in this one.

Vancouver Canucks @ Phoenix Coyotes
The Canucks have been one of the hottest teams in the league, but the Coyotes have been the hottest having gone 10-0-1 in their past 11 to all but solidify their spot in this years playoffs. After that 11 game streak the Coyotes are underdogs at home. This is an easy bet.
