NHL Betting Predictions December 7th

Senators logoWe kept the strong week going last night with another 3 wins.  Two of the wins were posted here on the website and the third pick (Columbus +150) was sent out exclusively to newsletter subscribers.  The season record is now (60-54) for +7.23 units, let’s keep the comeback rolling!  Tonight there are only 3 games in the NHL, but I’ve found 2 plays that I like.

Washington Capitals @ Ottawa Senators

The Capitals beat the Senators in overtime in Washington on Saturday, but then they went right back to their losing ways with a 5-4 loss to Florida.  Of the Caps last 6 games the only win came at home in overtime against the Senators.  The Capitals road record on the season is 4-8-0 and there isn’t a lot of evidence to suggest they will turn that around tonight.  The Sens won a big game over the Lightning at home on Monday and will carry that momentum into tonight’s game.  December should be a big month for the Sens who play a lot of games at home where their record this season is 7-4-1.  And yet even with all of these stats, trends and the way the teams are playing the Sens are still underdogs.

Philadelphia Flyers @ Buffalo Sabres

The Flyers have won 2 in a row and are 9-3-1 on the road this season.  The Sabres are 6-8-1 at home and have won 2 of their last 7.  Jagr has definitely helped the Flyers who have won the two games since his return.  I expect the Flyers to continue their road dominance and the Sabres to continue their sub par play tonight.
