Our single play last night didn’t come through, as the Ducks continued their losing streak even after returning home to play the Predators. That loss of 1.15 units brings the season record to (36-29) for +8.40 units. Looking at tonights games I wasn’t able to find many odds that I liked and seeing as I’m on a bit of a cold streak I don’t want to push anything unless I genuinely feel it’s a sharp line. For this reason there is only one play tonight on this busy Thursday in the NHL.
Florida Panthers @ Winnipeg Jets
I’m starting to believe that the Panthers have a legitimately strong team this year that could battle for a playoff spot down the stretch. The Panthers are 5-3-0 on the road and they head into Winnipeg to play a Jets team that is 2-2-0 at home, but is a much weaker team all around. This is a pick’em game at BetOnline.com, but the other sportsbooks I looked at have the Panthers as the favourite. Jose Theodore gets the start in goal for the Panthers tonight and if Jose can keep playing well the Panthers should be able to battle with any team this season.
