It’s hockey day in Canada and there are a lot of matinees on the docket tonight. It’s going to be a fun day of NHL hockey and I’ve found four plays I really like. My season record to date now sits at (101-116) for -12.62 units.
Nashville Predators @ Boston Bruins
The Predators, who have been hot except for a recent loss in Ottawa continue their Eastern road trip in Boston tonight. The Bruins have been struggling a bit of late, which is surprising for them, but they are still big favourites in this one. I like the Predators to bounce back after their loss to the Sens and I like the +150 odds.

Los Angeles Kings @ New York Islanders
The Kings head into Long Island to face an Islanders team that has been playing good hockey even though they did lose their last game to Montreal. The Kings are still not impressing me and I expect them to lose tonight on the road. They are 11-8-6 on the road this season, while the Islanders are 11-12-5 at home. The Kings are playing their 5th game of a road trip in which they’ve only won 1 game and scored only 5 goals.

New York Rangers @ Philadelphia Flyers
The Rangers and Flyers battle in this repeat of the Winter Classic. The Flyers won a big game over the Maple Leafs on Thursday, but the Rangers are a different test even though they are at home. I’m leaning towards the Rangers in this one.

Colorado Avalanche @ St. Louis Blues
The Blues are simply on another level than the Avalanche. The odds are pretty one sided, but I can not see the Blues losing this one.
