NHL Betting Predictions January 18

After taking a few days off from NHL predictions, we are back on this busy Tuesday night ready to place some wagers.  We are making four plays tonight, check them out below:

Montreal Canadiens @ Buffalo Sabres

The Canadiens took on the Calgary Flames at home last night, blowing a four goal lead before winning the game in overtime thanks to a Subban goal a couple minutes in.  The Habs lost their legs late in the game and that does not bode well for a solid showing tonight in Buffalo.  Price is back in net, but the Sabres have been playing decent of late and they know that if they are going to have any hope of making the playoffs, games against the Canadiens are must wins.

My Pick: Buffalo Sabres -135 (Bookmaker.com)

Los Angeles Kings @ St. Louis Blues

The Kings also played last night, losing on the road in Dallas.  Tonight they continue their road trip against the Blues, who beat the Kings a few nights ago in LA.  The Kings have yet to find the groove they had earlier in the season and it looks like they may continue to slip further out of the playoff picture in the Western Conference.  A tired Kings team on the road where they are (9-12-0) this season against a Blues team that is (14-7-2) at home and eager for a push past the Kings in the standings leads me to believe the Blues take this one handily.

My Pick: St. Louis Blues -130 (TheSportsbook.com)

Nashville Predators @ Phoenix Coyotes

In another game where one team played last night, in this case the Coyotes, I’m once again taking the rested team.  The Preds have been playing well of late, and although this may be the start of one of their downward streaks of the season, I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt.  The Coyotes lost last night at home to the Sharks and the Predators have been a much better team throughout the season.  The Predators are the underdogs in this one, but they should win more often than not.

My Pick: Nashville Predators +105 (Sportsbook.com)

Minnesota Wild @ Edmonton Oilers

The Wild are coming off a huge 4-0 win over the dominant Vancouver Canucks.  This win should give the Wild a lot of confidence heading to Edmonton where they will face the Western Conferences worst.  Beating the Conferences best team a couple nights before may have the Wild underestimating the Conferences worst, but the Wild should know that for their team every game is very important and they can’t afford to look past teams like the Oilers.  Edmonton has gone back to not playing well lately, so the Wild should be able to outclass the Oilers and move one step closer to the playoffs.

My Pick: Minnesota Wild -120 (Bookmaker.com)

You will see that the best odds for our four plays this evening can be found at three different NHL betting sites.  It’s important to have accounts at all of these bookies so that you can receive the best odds for each game.
